Free CodeRush Plugin: Method Preview

Check out the CR_MethodPreview plugin screencast below with Rory Becker. Rory’s cooked up another great little plugin that shows you the code of a method in a tool tip. Even if the method is in a separate file or module.

That is one of the best plugins I have seen, everyone should try this.

One suggestion though maybe clicking inside the tooltip or a button inside it could take you to the method for editing.

Once Enabled...

Follow these steps to get to the Click Identifier options page:

1. From the DevExpress menu, select "Options...".

2. In the tree view on the left, navigate to this folder:

Editor\Navigation

3. Select the "Click Identifier" options page.

...you should be able to hold the Ctrl key and hover over a method.

At this point it will light up like a hyperlink and clicking will carry you to the declaration of said method.
