CodeRush Xpress announced and available

We've just announced a new joint venture with Microsoft: CodeRush Xpress. This is a set of navigation features of CodeRush and some of the more important refactorings in Refactor! Pro bundled together in a nice free download for C# developers.

Did I say free?

OK, just in case you missed it: free.

You can get it here.

is this version going to work as an upgrade to the v3.0.8 or there is going to be a different version to replace the current v3.0.8 build?

Please tell me that you have a typo  and meant to say .NET developers instead of C# developers.

Steve: it's only for C# at the moment. We already are providing Refactor! for VB for free, but we are certainly looking at CRX for VB in the future.

PilotBob,

If you own CodeRush then you have the full professional version with all the great features. CodeRush Xpress is for developers who've not ever tried it.

Bad experiences:

I have announced this good news in our czech newsgroup. About five users reported, that they tried to use CodeRush XPress and  must uninstall it inmediatelly. It causes crashes of their Visual Studio after simple operations (paste test).

Note that I myself are long-term and very satisfied user CodeRush&Refactor.
