Previewing v2009 vol 1: Winforms Pivot Grid

In this release, we've implemented numerous requests and suggestions related to editing data. The following new features will be available:

  • You can specify when editor buttons should be displayed in data cells. The buttons can be visible for all cells, for only the focused cell, or for when entering edit mode.
  • You can now assign different editors to cells that correspond to the same field. Note that different editors can be used for either edit or browsing modes.
  • It's now possible to activate a cell editor using the keyboard.
  • You can now specify the width for individual columns so that editors will fit into the cells.
  • Several events and event parameters have been added making it easier for you to control the edit process.

Does this mean that it will be possible to rotate the column headings text by 90% if using a custom editor ?

This is a much talked about feature in the support database, but as yet no possible solution.

In cases where the column heading text is quiet long, yet the actual datavalue is small, you are limited to how many columns are visible.

I am eagerly waiting this solution.

Thanks,

Paul: I understand the scenario you describe, but I'm afraid the rotation of header text by 90 degrees is not currently possible.
