Discussions, news and rants from the CTO of Developer Express, Julian M Bucknall
In this release, we've implemented numerous requests and suggestions related to editing data. The following new features will be available:
- You can specify when editor buttons should be displayed in data cells. The buttons can be visible for all cells, for only the focused cell, or for when entering edit mode.
- You can now assign different editors to cells that correspond to the same field. Note that different editors can be used for either edit or browsing modes.
- It's now possible to activate a cell editor using the keyboard.
- You can now specify the width for individual columns so that editors will fit into the cells.
- Several events and event parameters have been added making it easier for you to control the edit process.
