New video: Ribbon support in XAF 8.2

Here we go, a video about one of the new features in XAF 8.2: support for Ribbon style toolbars in the Windows Forms application. It was recorded with a development build, so you will see a few rough edges, but it offers a nice preview especially for those of you who haven't taken the time to download and install 8.2 RC so far. Click the image or this link to watch the video!

The final release for this new  XAF module will recognize all groups and items currently in the ExplorerBar control?...

The video only shows how to incorpore the Ribbon..., but  does not show the groups and items that already exists in the default Explorer bar control.

I'm waiting for this feature.... so long...

Thank you!..

Hi Cesar,

The Ribbon doesn't replace the navigation bar, it replaces the toolbars and menus we normally have.

You are waiting for this feature? Are our support guys aware of that? I think it should be possible with some template customization... look at the docs on customization of templates and action containers and you'll see what has to be done to make this work.

Hi Oliver,

Why it doesn't support MDI from the begining?

My developments are based on the MDI Templates. I can't figure out why it doesn't support MDI.

Which plans do you have for this? is there any limitation for doing it?

Thanks,

Sebastià
