Want to discuss a Support Center issue with peers? It’s simple now.

We’ve recently published a new Support Center feature – the ability to start, read, and participate in a discussion on an issue right from the issue's view page. Simply click on the Discussion tab when you view an issue!

A thread will also be created on the forum corresponding to the product that the issue is about. The corresponding forum post will contain a link to the issue for easy reference.

This feature is in Beta, so any feedback you may provide is welcome!

It's a good idea,  but I think the thread that's visible in the forums should quote the original support request as well to provide some sort of context to the replies.

Having just tried the new feature I have to agree with Brendon. The link between issue and forum is very one sided at the moment. A URL added to the forum post, pointing to the support issue should suffice.

@Steven - no, I did not set a special task for the Support Team to monitor such posts (though, I'm planning to involve Support Team in communication on the forums in the future). For now, it's mostly for peer-to-peer discussions. We'll add a note to the Discussion tab to make it clearer.

@Brandon - yes, I completely agree with you, it should. Though, I can't tell you right now when exactly we will be able to implement this.

@Chris - we do have such a URL available right away, didn't you notice it? It's at the left top of every thread created via the Support Center. Probably, we should make it more visible.

@Jascha - I like this idea. We'll add an option for this.
