DevExpress Declared ComponentSource Bestseller: Let’s Celebrate with an Easter Egg!

DevExpress were named as the Number One ComponentSource Publisher

[UPDATE 19th April 2010: This contest has now closed. Thanks to all who participated and those of you who left such kind comments below. The winners will be announced this week – keep your eyes on the blogs! ~ Rachel]

Last week ComponentSource, one of the most frequented online component resellers, announced their 20Follow me ....9 -2010 Bestseller Awards.

We’re very happy to share with you that DevExpress was declared ComponentSource’s Bestselling Publisher and DXperience was awarded their Bestselling Product.

DXperience was ComponentSource's Number One selling product in 2009In addition, out of over 10,000 individual products listed on ComponentSource, the DevExpress VCL Subscription also featured in the Top 75 products – Delphi development is most certainly alive and well!

To celebrate with all of you, the customers and enthusiasts that trusted us and our products and made us the ComponentSource Bestsellers, we’re celebrating with a belated Easter egg hunt.

Now, I don’t know about you but if I see another chocolate egg I may turn an unnatural shade of green and keel over on top of the Easter Bunny! So with the Easter weekend celebrations and religious rejoicing now over, DevExpress are continuing the egg-related festivities with a more appropriate Easter egg hunt.

We’re offering two lucky winners the chance to win their choice of either a copy of DXperience Universal or a copy of the VCL Subscription package.

All you need to do is:

    • Find the egg hidden on this page and follow it to its destination - there you’ll find a series of 3 images that will look a little out of place
    • Work out the “password” from the 3 images (I’ll give you a hint: say eggsactly what you see)
    • Email your answer to me at rachelh@devexpress.com with “ComponentSource Easter Egg” in the subject line and leave a note in the comments below to encourage other to get involved

Egg-ceptionally easy!!! Ha!

This competition will close at 5pm (PDT) on Friday April 16th 2010, after which the two winners will be randomly selected from the entries. We’ll announce the two prize winners the following week and in issue 26 of DX Press: The DevExpress Newsletter.

As Brad says, sage advice from Scott: you'll know, when you know!

Pleased to see so many people getting it right now ... some of you have been so so close.

Hi Max,

Hint: The first guy looks like some kind of coder/programmer to me (it's not his name that matters). And the last picture is not a click, finger, hand, but something else you can do with your finger. Oh, and when you figure out the answer you'll know it.
