  • DDD South West Registration is Open

    Time: 10:30am Tuesday April 12th 2011.

Listen up folks of the South West of the United Kingdom, this is important.

DDD South West registration is open – reserve your space now! In just 27 minutes already 120 seats have GONE!

DDD South West 3Sold Out Community Events

The past few DDD events in the UK have 'sold' out faster than you can say "Gary Short has no hair".

According to DDD alumni, Guy Smith-Ferrier, DDD 7 in November 2009 "sold" out in 4 hours. DDD 8 "sold" out in 12 minutes and 47 seconds. DDD 9 in January 2011 "sold" out in a total of 12 minutes.

DDD Scotland has already filled up its allocation and is maintaining a waitlist. You can still add yourself if you have not already done so. Craig Murphy, one of the DDD Scotland co-ordinators tells me that they are dealing with their waitlist very efficiently so it is worth adding your name if you want to attend.

     Finger on a mouse button

    Don’t Delay – Register Today!

DDD South West is now in its third year and, like a fine wine, is getting better and better with age.

Follow these simple instructions and get yourself a seat!

    Let me see those fingers!

  • CodeStock 2011–Registration and Session Voting Now Open!

You may remember a couple of weeks back, I announced that the fantastic community event, CodeStock, had once again opened registration.

This year CodeStock is returning to the brilliant downtown Knoxville, TN location with the keynote, prize draw and social event being held at the historic Bijou Theatre.

    Awesome.

    Where can I register?

CodeStock 2011 Yoda Skull ImageYou can register via the CodeStock website. Unfortunately, if you have not already registered, you’ve just missed the early-bird pricing. But good news – it still only costs $85.00 for this great event.

$85.00!! That would barely get you a seat in one session at one of the major national events!

Remember, your company may have a training budget, so don’t forget to approach them about the possibility of them covering your costs. Many companies have no idea that events like this exist. You could send a team of 10 to CodeStock and put them up a hotel for less than it would cost one team member to go to a national event.

This is a great opportunity for team-building and team-education. The event runs Friday and Saturday, June 3rd and 4th, so there is minimal impact to your work schedule.

Ask your boss today. What’s the worst that can happen?

Can I vote for the sessions I want to see?

codestock_lowresRegistered attendees for CodeStock have the ability to influence the final agenda for the event. Placing your votes for the sessions you want to see is a great way for you to customize the event and make it your dream conference.

If you have already registered why not take the opportunity to place your votes for the sessions you want to see?

Head over to the Registration Form with your registration code and select “Plan Schedule”.

  • AZGroups Annual Scott Gu Day of .NET

Scott Guthrie - 8th Annual Day of .NETOn Friday April 22nd AZGroups are holding their 8th Annual Scott Guthrie Day of .NET.

The Microsoft VP for the .NET Division will be joined by Mark Russinovich from the Platform and Services Division of Microsoft.

The event is brought to the Arizona developer community through the support of a number of sponsors, including DevExpress, and we are very excited to be a part of this event for another year. And you know what sponsors means …

    A FREE EVENT!

Will I get to meet Scott Gu?

The great thing about community events is that they provide you with fantastic networking opportunities. Not only can you meet and hang out with you peers, but you can also mix and mingle with speakers, sponsors and supporters of these great events.

Now, while I am not saying the The Gu will help you to solve the funky formatting issue you have with your website, what you may get the opportunity to do is spend a little time hanging out with incredibly intelligent folk from Microsoft and the wider developer community to talk about interesting topics and share opinions on the latest and greatest additions to the Microsoft stack.

    Where is the event?

This fantastic event is being hosted by the Chandler Center of the Arts in Chandler, AZ and will take place from 8am to 5pm on Friday April 22nd.

    Where can I sign up?

Registration opened very recently, so you can sign up for your place right now on the Scott Guthrie Day of .NET page.

This will be a fantastic and free opportunity to spend an entire day listening to two great speakers.

  • DEVLINK 2011 Presented in Partnership with DevExpress

2011 is an exciting year for DevExpress. We are partnering with one of the most successful community-driven conferences in the USA.

Proud to be a Partner Sponsor

DevExpress is both proud and appreciative of the opportunity to work with John Kellar and the committee behind this conference, in order to bring DEVLINK 2011 to the community.

DEVLINK Technical ConferenceDEVLINK 2011 will be the sixth occurrence of this great event and we are thrilled to be playing a part in making it happen.

DEVLINK is heralded as a top quality conference without the top quality conference price tag. This event brings together top industry experts and leading community experts to deliver a conference that really is extraordinarily great value-for-money. As SharePoint enthusiast Rob Wilson says:

It must be the most cost-effective technical conference available. The agenda is chock full of dynamic topics and presenters.

In addition to what have always been exceptional technical sessions, DEVLINK also hosts a number of networking and social events to help developers from different backgrounds and persuasions come together to make the most of their time at this conference.

You really do get a great bang for your buck with this event and if you have not had the pleasure of being able to attend in the past, make 2011 the year that you get on over.

    Registration is Open!

Registrations for DEVLINK 2011 opened TODAY!

Judging by the trend of this years’ fantastic community events filling up their capacity in record time (CodeMash sold out in 3 days if you remember – and that was over a weekend!) I don’t think that DEVLINK 2011 will be any different.

Book DEVLINK into your diaries now, it’s the BIG conference with the tiny price tag: August 17th – 19th at the Chattanooga Convention Centre in Chattanooga, TN.

Be there, or be … there is no other option, just be there! Smile
