In this lesson, you’ll learn how to create and customize multi-editor rows with the XtraVerticalGrid.

Multi-editor rows can display data from several data fields.

1. To create and customize multi-editor rows, I run the designer.

2. I create the first multi-editor row, and move it to the “Address” category.

3. This row will display the employee’s city and region.

4. I press the shift key and drag the corresponding editor rows to the “multi editor row” I just created.

5. This automatically creates the row items within the multi-editor row.

6. To customize row items, switch to the “Row properties” tab page.

7. Here, you can also create new, or remove existing row items.

8. Since the city and region rows are not needed to be displayed anymore, I can delete them.

9. I close the designer, and run the application to see the result.

10. As you can see, multiple cells are displayed within the record.

11. Each cell within the record represents the corresponding row item.

12. Multi-editor rows make data more readable and save screen space when displaying data from a large number of data fields.
