Introduction & Video: Implementing a Spell Checker in ASP.NET

Hello everyone,

Since this is the first post on my blog, I would like to use this opportunity to introduce myself to the DevExpress community.

My name is Emil and I have been with Developer Express for almost a month. During this time, I have been working with the DevExpress Channel crew to bring you new and updated video tutorials.

On this blog, I will be announcing some of the highlights of the DevExpress Channel tutorials as they are published. Feel free to leave comments and let me know if you have any suggestions or any topics you would like us to consider for upcoming tutorials.

@Steve:

The OpenOffice.org dictionary zip file was downloaded and extracted to the root of the site. As for the configuration of the SpellChecker to use the dictionary, it was demonstrated in the video. If it wasn't clear enough, I apologize.

The English language dictionary files used in this lesson can be found here: wiki.services.openoffice.org/.../Dictionaries

@Ragu:

That is in the works. We are going to demonstrate how to switch dictionaries at run-time and how to create and use custom dictionaries using the ASPxSpellChecker.
