WPF Grid Control – Custom Sorting

After a couple months of silence and undercover work producing some of the content for the DevExpress Channel, I’ve decided to pick up this blog again. This time I will do my best to announce our training videos as well as provide a summary of what’s covered in them.

The first thing you notice when you start working with our WPF Grid Control is that its functionality is somewhat similar to that of the XtraGrid for WinForms. This means that if you decide to port your application to WPF, you will spend less time rewriting your code, leaving you more time to say… I don’t know… create a new skin for it? Something fun!

So, just like its WinForms counterpart, the DXGrid can be sorted by display text, edit value or by using custom sorting rules. In this video, we show you how you can use the CustomColumnSort event of the WPF Grid to Create and Apply a Custom Sorting Algorithm for a specific column.
