This is it folks, the contest is over! I must say, it was much quicker than I had expected. If you are just reading this post and have no idea which contest I’m referring to, here’s a quick overview:
Yesterday, I made a blog post asking readers to spot a continuity error in one of the latest videos posted on the DevExpress Channel. We had purposefully embedded the incorrect title and video preview on the following lesson: “Silverlight Menu – Bind Menu to XML using Code”. The error has now been corrected, but in case you missed it, here are two screenshots that show what we had done (click to enlarge)…
It was quite interesting to see the attention to detail by some of our viewers. “Inconsistencies” such as differences in Amanda’s makeup were mentioned, while another viewer pointed out that the Internet Explorer search provider was set to Google in one video (as opposed to Bing in the other four).
All in all, it was a fun contest and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate. I’ll be contacting the 12 winners who pointed out the correct error to arrange for the shipment of the “DevExpress Swag Pack” that includes a multi-purpose DevExpress USB 4GB Flash Drive Pocket Knife and other valuable DevExpress gear. For the other participants who pointed out some other interesting inconsistencies that was not accounted for by us, I’ll try to arrange some cool swag for you guys as well.
Keep an eye on our blogs for other upcoming contests soon!
