You asked for it, we listened! The new DevExpress TreeList Control will ship in the upcoming 2011.1 release of DXperience for both Silverlight and WPF. The DXTreeList control is more than a standard tree list… it provides powerful features to enable advanced data presentation and manipulation. Next to multi-column display, the standard data-aware and presentation features include: data editing, sorting, filtering, summary calculation, built-in validation, unbound columns, runtime column customization and more!

Other DXTreeList features in detail:
- Representation of Hierarchical Data Relationships
With the TreeListView you can represent any self-referenced data structure in either bound or unbound mode.
- Unbound Mode Support
In unbound mode, you can manually create the entire tree in code or XAML.
- On-Demand Data Loading in Unbound Mode
In unbound mode, you can implement on-demand data loading.
- TreeNode Iterator
To simplify node traversal, the TreeListView ships with an easy to use node iterator class.
- Node Images
You can explicitly specify node images or obtain images from the field in a data source with long binary data.
Are you currently using the DXGrid but need to present the same data in a tree structure? DevExpress has got you covered there as well! The DXTreeList Control will be available both as a standalone as well as an integrated view of the DevExpress Silverlight and WPF Grid Controls.
The TreeList has been designed to be very similar to the existing DXGrid control in terms of API and functionality. This means that you can use your existing knowledge of our grid to quickly get up to speed with the DXTreeList control and implement it painlessly in your applications. And, thanks to this shared functionality and now-simultaneous development cycle, common features, performance optimizations, themes and other improvements will appear in both controls at the same time, allowing you to better plan for your product releases and easily deploy both within your applications.
