I'm needing almost exactly this, basically a TreeList that has all of the functionality of a GridControl. I can't use a GridControl, because I don't want a separate view for the lower levels. I want them to expand in place using the same columns as the parent. I want all of the power of the GirdControl, though.

In essence, I have the same question that Christian had, will it have the find panel? That's a basic requirement for our needs.

It would also be nice if it had a way to save off something like the view definition like the GridControl does.

Hi,

Can you list down what are the limitations here.

Here are a few i have picked up from ur site.

a) It is impossible to implement frozen columns with a fixed size. All columns are resized proportionally when the grid’s size is changed.

b) The column horizontal scrolling is not supported. All columns are stretched within the grid (The ColumnAutoWidth feature is always enabled).

c) It is impossible to change column positions relative to each other.

d) The AutoFilterRow feature is not compatible with this solution.

f) It is impossible to add a new row using the NewItemRow feature.

Does it support printing?

Can i load columns at runtime?I mean ,can i create columns in code behind and then apply it on this grid?

Any word on when ASP.NET MVC ext will be ready for the scheduler control? Is there a workaround or sample to get this working with a MVC app?

So let me get this straight.. You removed skins people were using in live applications from the main utils library to make it "lighter"... Thereby either forcing those applications to change the skin they were using or increase the memory load by 7 meg to get the skin that was working back? Seriously? On a terminal server application you just increased the memory load dramatically... Not good.

Is the source for the control available for subscribers? I've written my own tilesource and provider to work with in house ESRI servers, or the ARCGisOnline, and I've figured work arounds for everything but two protected internal items. If I had the source I could recompile and include my provider for internal use, without would be disapointing, what would of been exceptional is those interfaces being exposed to facilitate custom providers like WMS, google, yahoo, mapquest, ESRI, I can probably build a total hack inheriting from openstreetmap and overriding just the uri builder but thats cheesy.

You don't need an MSDN account, you just have to go to http://msdn.microsoft.com and make sure your region is set as "United States (English)" (it doesn't show up if you are Australian).

At the bottom of the page and on the right will be a bunch of third party advertising ... ignore that.

Right at the top, under the menu, is the core Microsoft marketing message of the day.

Today it is "Save up to 35% on MSDN Subscriptions". After about 20 seconds it was replaced by the next most important message from MSDN ... "Unwrap your Map" from Developer Express. About 20 more seconds that is replaced by some message about programming for Windows Phone, and then something else and then it comes back to the first message.

Can you clarify "free?" This blog post, the download page, and the confirmation email do not mention anything about a time-limited evaluation. The download page, however, says it is a 30-day eval copy. Which is it?

Setting up a MSDN account is a piece of cake - dont think it means you need to pay for a subscription...Had there been additional requirements, we would have had to verify licensing which we do not.

What if I'm a DXv2 E subscriber but NOT a current MSDN subscriber? Is DX Maps available to me?

I'd like to see this product available to DXv? E subscribers in Winforms as many of us have elected to NOT use WPF/SL. My app is a perfect fit for a map solution.
