Is anyone encountering an inability to drag pivot fields in a xaf web app, specifically in IE? I have just deployed a web app and have quite a few senior users coming on-board shortly and while the pivots work in dev and on my test machines, the gov't platform i am targeting is not allowing any field drag, instead showing a large fat not-allowed icon. I am hoping somebody has encountered and solved this. Thanks for any thoughts.. drew..

so far everyone, including SC, is perplexed on this one. Even if you have random thoughts on this trouble, it may prove helpful.. cheers.

    Hi,

My guess (and only a guess) is that some security policy on gov.'s systems could prevent some javascript from running but then again this should not be a problem on a server but rather on a client PC.

    Answer

Ok, a few notes: i had already noted that after upgrading to 8.2.2, the pivot grid looked horrible. I didn't have time to look into it. Then this issue cropped up. I spent a long time going through (the horribly slow) SC, filtering for xaf posts with "pivot" in the post, looking for clues. I stumbled across "BugReport Details: XAF 8.2, Web, action buttons in detail view are different sizes, too high and look messy". This solved both my messy web buttons, AND the pivot issue, believe it or not.

So, the new thrust of this thread: why wouldn't the ProjectConverter take into account this most basic of issues? Don't just upgrade references, but other support files of which CSS obviously plays a significant role.  thanks for listening, drew..

ps: it is remarkable how stress levels fall when problems seemingly outside of your control disappear.

Really? I just did a copy and paste from the IE7 address bar:

BTW, I use a customized search provider for this in IE7.
