'ASP.login_aspx' does not contain a definition for 'Login1_Authenticate'

I am trying to create a login page and have used Mehul's webcast on using session timeouts as part of my learning experience - http://tv.devexpress.com/AHHMLoginRedirectCB.movie . This is not the first login page I have tried to create for this project (I have also used DevExpress's poupup controls modal demo as a base for my learning) but I keep coming back to the same error - see the subject line.

All I do is create a login page exactly as in the demo but once I complete the event for authentication on the code behind page, I then try running the program with the above result.

The web is silent as to possible causes and the one or two results I have found are inconclusive (and well dated).

Has anyone come across this before and know what I am doing wrong.

    Thanks,

    Hi Chris,

The problem became insurmountable because the project was a mismatch of Web Application, Web Site, cut and pastes etc. I gave up and started all over again because even I was lost. Probably fixable by an expert but in the end I don't think I was going to absorb anything.

It was likely due to Namespaces but I created a new Project from scratch and the problem has not re-surfaced.

    Thanks any how.....
