Session & XPCollection Best Practices with Winform Custom Controls

    Hi

I I'd like to use a custom control against XPO and using the fantastic DataLayoutControl.  As far as I can see, to do this I need to have and XPCollection, XPView or some other type of Session in the control.  However, this means that I cannot place the control onto other forms at design time due to the known DefaultDomain.mdb issue.

There is an article on how to work around this issue here, but I'd prefer to not have to change the designer code generatedby Visual Studio if I don't have to.

I'm wondering if there are any best practices around this issue and what other people do.

    Thanks

    Sean

There's a related discussion here, but it's two years old and doesn't seem to have a well defined conlusion.
