I'm having a really big problem with the chart controls hanging my entire Visual Studio.  doing any number of things, adding a control, resizing one, etc, can cause it to enter this state.  Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the hang?

Which version of DX are you using ?

On 8.2.4 the charts seem to perform fine.  It is possible to max the CPU for a while but generally it will return eventually.  Haven't had any hangs or crashes in the Chart Wizard for quite a few versions now.

I had a quick try with 8.3.2 and doing just about anything in the Chart Wizard can lead to an apparent hang.  Even invoking the Chart Wizard on an existing simple chart can put it into a spin.  Have left it for 30 minutes at 100% (on one of 4 cores) and it never returned.

I haven't had time to document and report this to DX yet.  I was leaving it until 8.3.3 is available to see if that sorts it out.  There isn't any real drive for me to go to 8.3 yet so it is on the back burner.

What is your environment ?
