I frequently work with Bill of Material (hierarchical) datasets, and I'm looking to design applications to handle this data instead of using Excel. One of the reasons my end Users use Excel is due to Excel's powerful data sorting and filtering. I am impressed with the TreeList control, but I
need to have this advanced end-user filtering capabilities in order to satisfy my Users' functional requirements. The Filter Control is awesome, but I need it integrated into a TreeList.
This post says the issue is under consideration. Can you please answer to what the strategy is for improving End-User filtering in the TreeList control? Even if that means you're holding out for a WPF / Silverlight Tree control?
Or, if you're not planning on integrating the Filter control into the TreeLIst, can you provide an example product for how to implement the IFilterComponent interface while using a TreeList?
Thank you for your time,
