    Alt-keys

    Hello,

I'm having a problem. It has nothing to do with the design of the ribbons, it's rather a problem in my application. I've got a main form with a ribbon with several tabs. One of the buttons activates the selection of a customer. The list of customers is shown embedded in the main form. Until now, we had several buttons at the bottom of that list with Alt-shortcut's to &Add, &Modify or Delete a customer.

Two things: these shortcut's don't work anymore, when pressing the alt-key, the ribbon takes over, which is normal a presume. Second thought was to move the buttons to a ribbon tab that is only visible when the list of customers is visible and assign the shortcut's there. That's possible, but how can i make that when the user presses Alt+A for instance, the ribbon button Add is selected, it seems I have to pass the shortcut of the tab, the group and then the button. That's something my customers won't like. At last I tried to trap the onkeydown event en try to catch the Alt+shortcut, without success Sad

So my question: Can I have a direct shortcut to a button on the ribbon for instance Alt+A fires the add button on the ribbon in tab customers group Actions for instance. If that's not possible, is there a way to turn off the shortcut's on the ribbon for the moment?

     Thx,

    Bernaert Dominique.

Can I suggest you create a question on the support system, then post the
ID here so we can track it? Alt-key handling is new, so maybe this is
    something that got missed.
