    Restore original column positions

    Hi,

Can anyone help me please, how do you restore a grid to it's original state, i.e. all columns are in their original positions? I am using a DBTableView and would like to allow the end-users the option to move columns around yet be able to click a button to restore the original grid positions.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sinead

There use to be an artical in the knowledge base on this--and it got into low level RTTI and I found it difficult to understand.

Another method would be to save the settings when it was created and then restore them. Some talk of it here.

Depending on the particulars, I would look at putting the grid on a frame and embed the frame in the control Then when they want to reset it, recreate the frame.
