Any way of knowing which plugins can cause sluggish typing?

I am developing on a machine that is coming of age but isn't quite dead yet (P4 3.0 Ghz, 1.5GB RAM). I really enjoy using CodeRush but occasionally typing becomes sluggish. I only use about half of the plugins in CodeRush regularly, so I want to find out which ones might be causing this. And before anyone suggests it, I am sure it either CodeRush or Refactor! causing it, because I have never had this problem before I installed them. My physical memory usage stays around 70% and very rarely goes above 80-85%. Don't get me wrong though, I firmly believe the utility of these tools far outweighs the annoyance of sleight performance hiccups. I would just like to get the most value out of it that I can. If anyone has any suggestions regarding which plugins I should disable (by this I mean rename the DLL file to prevent it from loading), or any other performance suggestions I would appreciate it!

    Hi Chris,

We had some issues with some refactoring plug-ins (optimize namespace references and remove type qualifier) in older releases, but those are much faster now. If you're using any third-party DXCore plug-ins, I recall there was a performance issue caused by one that did custom highlighting, however I'm not sure what the current status of that plug-in is.

My suggestion, if you can rule out third-party plug-ins, is to contact support@devexpress.com with this, and perhaps send any additional details you can find (including the version you're using and perhaps further information on what seems to make the problem more or less reproducible.

    TIA.

    Best regards,
