    question on MainDemo..

I was going thru the MainDemo again via the eXpressAppFramework pdf, and added the Event object as per "Add a Class From the Business Class Library" and noted that i am only seeing the Events as per a regular listview and not the outlook-scheduler view as per the diagrams. I did this demo a few months ago, and it worked fine. I wondered if the various version issues that have cropped up might be causing this and if anyone else has seen it and corrected it? thanks, drew..

    Hello Drew,

You are right, the Event List View (Schedule List View) is now displayed by a regular List Editor, by default. To set the outlook-scheduler view that you've seen before, you should set a reference to the built-in Scheduler module. When this module is referenced, the Event List View is displayed via a special control in Windows Forms applications. This control is provided by the XtraScheduler Suite library (see www.devexpress.com/Help/?document=xtrascheduler/customdocument1715.htm).
To use the Scheduler module in a Windows Forms application, set a reference to it to the Windows Forms application project and add the DevExpress.ExpressApp.Scheduler.Win.vX.X entry to module lists in the App.config file.
In ASP.NET Web applications, there is no special control to display an Event List View. So, there is no special module.

This fact will be added to the Tutorial's "Add a Class From the Business Class Library" lesson in the next update.

    Thanks,
    Mary

why the change? this seems like a step backwards, or it is an interim situation that will be corrected?

sorry to continue a monologue, but will a web scheduler be in the works? This possibility would be crucial to some of my efforts, thanks kindly, drew..

This behavior has been chosen on purpose. To add a XAF module to a Windows Forms application project, just reference it there and add an appropriate entry to the App.Config file. If you are using this module in the code of one of your modules, you'll have to reference it there as well.

We have this point in our TODO list. But it's unlikely to be implemented in the next release.

Hi Mary, in helping us understand DX decisions, can we know why? Removing such awesome UI design seems odd. thanks for any insight.
