ASPxCaptcha Announcement

Good news!

The upcoming ASP.NET Captcha control will support audio!

And it was your great feedback on the ASPxCaptcha announcement that made the difference!

The DevExpress ASP.NET team will add audio support to the ASPxCaptcha in a future minor release for v2010.1.x. The little x denotes the minor release version which will be determined once the major v2010.1 is released.

@XMen,

We'll target English audio. I recommend submitting a suggestion in the support center for other languages, once the ASPxCaptcha is released.

This is good addition in asp.net suite. By looking at the snapshot, it seems noise factor is not present & I'm afraid it could be decoded by scripts easily.

Mehul, can you please explain "noise factor" configuration in captcha control!

I assume you'll be flying me out to sunny California to be the "voice of the ASP.NET Captcha?"

@Elder,

The v2010.1 major version will probably be released around the April 2010 time frame.

Will the ASP.NET Captcha be released before then?

@Yemo,

If you have a DXperience Subscription then a beta of v2010.1 will be available about 1-2 weeks before the release. So it maybe available soon.

Hi Mehul,

As you posted above ASPxCaptcha will support Audio after the v2010.1 major version release.

Now I'm using v2010 2.4 and as you can find there is no audio support for ASPxCaptcha.

Could you please clarify when this feature will be available.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi David,

We still plan to add this support. Unfortunately, v2010.2 release had so much that we could not fit it in. I'll see if we can get it into a release for later this year.

Thanks.

Have you added audio support to Captcha yet? I don't see any mention in the 15.1 documentation/demo.
