CodeRush Xpress & CodeRush Ready for Visual Studio 2010

Both CodeRush Xpress and CodeRush have been released this week. CodeRush Xpress went final and became available only a few seconds after Visual Studio 2010 became officially released.

The full version of CodeRush 10.1 is available on the Betas tab of your client center download page.

While CodeRush Xpress is final, the full version of CodeRush 10.1 is expected to be final by the end of April when the rest of DXperience 10.1 ships.

Is the fancy Rename feature gone? When I upgraded to Code Rush Express 2010 it is only the built in rename feature that is working. Both for VS2008 and VS2010. Hope this is a bug.

Hi Kevin,

VS 2010 went live on Monday at 8:30am PST, and CodeRush Xpress went live on our site only a few minutes after that.

Comments are sometimes moderated and go to me, and I was travelling and doing the show in Vegas so I missed your earlier comment.

Hi Mark,

Attended the CodeRush Demo at the VS2010 launch event in vegas. Totally loved it.

Just wondering abound when we would get our free copies of CodeRush, if you know.

Thanks again for creating such a product.

Hi Ming,

My understanding is that we've sent emails out to all the winners.  I would check your spam folder and if not found, send an email to kevin at the DevExpress domain from the email address you specified at the conference.

CodeRush User

Mark,

You mentioned that the full version of CodeRush 10.1 is expected by end of April, yet we're approaching the middle of May. Can we get an update?

Mark Miller (DevExpress)

Dear CodeRush User,

Well, that was definitely the plan. Unfortunately we have to hold on the CodeRush release until all products at DevExpress are ready to ship. Julian Bucknall has some notes on that progress here:

community.devexpress.com/.../release-date-notes-for-v2010-1.aspx

In the meantime you can get a very solid "beta" through client center, on the Betas tab.
