WPF Scheduling - Calendar Control in 2009

Thinking Out Loud
22 January 2009

Yesterday, Julian blogged about WPF products we expect to deliver in 2009. I wanted to take a minute to discuss our plans as they relate to scheduling/calendars for WPF.

I guess the easiest way to do this is just to say - yes. Yes, we plan on delivering DXScheduler for WPF this year.

Whoo-hoo. We're getting closer to having all required WPF components to support XAF. What's missing now? Printing, Reports?

I like if devExpress acts professional as you do:

"tell what you do, do what you tell"

Are the boss of devExpress? If not, you should be :)

Martin: You must have missed the blog post about the reporting futures. We're going to be providing printing support for our WPF controls in 2009, as a required precursor for a larger reporting solution next year I would imagine.

Cheers, Julian

Fits in nicely with comments I have made: WPF will "take-off" when all the required pieces are in place for a company to migrate.

This is a big-step, so is reporting.

I would use XAF as a great model to predict widespread WPF acceptance. Whatever keeps you from migrating XAF into WPF also limits your "other" customers.

When would you deliver Scheduler? Do you have milestones for such deliverables as beta or demo?

Is the any update on the Scheduler control for WPF. Any timelines so that the clients of Dev Ex can plan on using this in 2009?

Will the clients of Devex recieve any beta versions?
