WinForms Visual Query Builder - ala MS Access (Coming soon in v16.1)

Thinking Out Loud
25 May 2016
We've all heard the phrase "one thing leads to another..." and in the case of our new WinForms Visual Query Builder, it's an apt statement...

Over the years, we've had many requests to build a Microsoft Access like Query tool and though the spirit was willing the body was not...in other words, we didn't have the one thing that was so necessary - a diagram control. Well, once we got the Diagram Control built, the Query Builder was certain to follow.

Though the video below does a good job introducing this control, we'll spend more time illustrating its capabilities over the coming weeks. In particular, how you can integrate this product within your app and keep your power-users super happy.

This is potentially very useful.

Which DBMSs does it support and how do you provide or discover the tables and relationships?

This will be great job, if,

1. It will be standalone control,

2. Supports MS-SQL, Oracle.. etc database providers

3. Supports most common data connection (like ORMs) technology.

4. Customizable connect to various grid controls (vertical, gridview, pivot... etc)

Thank you to provide us highest quality products!

best regards

If this can support the same sort of features as the Entity Framework database first view or the SQL designer this would be amazing.. We're talking table relationships and maybe creating relationships in the database directly by using this visual designer etc...
