WinForms TreeList Control - Enhanced Data Filtering (Coming soon in v17.1)

Thinking Out Loud
20 April 2017

Yesterday I wrote about two enhancements we'll ship in our WinForms Data Grid. Today, I'd like to describe a couple of the new capabilities planned for our WinForms TreeList.

First on the list is support for Excel-inspired column filtering . This option was first introduced in our Grid and with 17.1 (has been applied to the TreeList. As you can see in the image below, the new TreeList column filter includes 2 tabs - the first gives you the ability to specify criteria from a list of all available values, and the second allows you to create more complex filters using operators such as equals, between, contains, etc.

In addition to Excel-inspired filtering, we've extended the capabilities of the auto-filter row so that end-users can specify filter conditions for each column.

On a side note, our WinForms Grid will also support this feature.
