ASP.NET HTML Editor - Improved Toolbar (coming soon in v2010 vol 2)

The ASP.NET HTML Editor, ASPxHtmlEditor, has improved it’s toolbar items list in the Item Editor Dialog.

To see the issue, let’s first take a look at the Items Editor dialog from the previous version 2010 volume 1:

10. 1Html Editor Items Editor Dialog

In the DXperience v2010 volume 2 release, you’ll have a simpler dialog. The DevExpress ASP.NET team has abstracted and simplified the Item Editor’s dialog to look like this:

10.2 Html Editor Items Editor Dialog

Specific items are properly nested under their categories and easier to find:

10.2 Html Editor Items Editor Dialog

Details Matter

These user interface enhancements will help you at design time to speed up development because you not need to search through the items list as much.

The enhanced ASP.NET HTML Editor’s Item Editor dialog is part of the upcoming DXperience v2010 volume 2 release. Are you looking forward to this enhancement? Drop me a line below with your thoughts. Thanks!

Hi,

I need to add to my web application a code editor with integrated intelisense for an SQL-like language.

JIRA (a popular bug tracking tool) had this feature for their custom query language - they seem to have developped their own  syntax verifier in Javascript on top of JQuery.

It would be nice if this kind of tool could be developped using DevExpress controls by customizing the spell checker part.

Do you have plan for this ?
