CodeRush for Roslyn, Version 17.1.5 is Available

Another 30 days, another CodeRush for Roslyn release. In this update we port a popular feature for XPO developers, add code generation options, add commands to extend the selection outwards by sibling nodes, and increase the speed of Tab to Next Reference. See the What’s New list for complete details.

As always, you can download CodeRush for Roslyn from the Visual Studio Marketplace.

If you’re already using CodeRush for Roslyn and you’re enjoying it, please share your review with other VS developers.

Also, be sure to check out our CodeRush Feature of the Week series on YouTube, where Rory Becker and I dive into CodeRush features in detail. Here’s a link to the first in the series, where you can see the Tab to Next Reference feature we tuned in this release:

Hi Mark,

Good to see continued feature additions and tuning to CodeRush for Roslyn.

What is the best way to update between major versions?  I had V16.2.8 installed through Tools / Extensions and Updates with automatic update enabled.  Seems like you have to uninstall that then install V17.1.5 to get the later version?  Minor versions seem to apply automatically which is great.

What about option settings and any key or template customisations that are defined - do they survive the uninstall / install?

Thanks

Hi,

why would I use the fields class instead of the "nameof" function, are there any benefits that I'm not aware of?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Option settings survive uninstall/reinstall.

Hi Gerhard,

I don't understand your question in the context of CodeRush for Roslyn. Can you give me more context?

Would be nice to see some code templates that utilize the Devexpress MVVM framework in future updates
