ASP.NET Loading Panel Introduction: New DevExpress Control

Check out this 6 minute video on the ASPxLoadingPanel Introduction:

image

There is a new ASP.NET UI control coming out in the next major release of DXperience and ASPxGridView & Editors Library. The ASPxLoadingPanel can be used during callbacks to display a custom ‘Loading…’ text and image.

Callbacks can be quick, or take a long time to complete, depending on your scenario. Regardless of the length of time, it’s good practice to notify the end users of partial page updates. And whether you show the notification over the entire web page or just in a corner, the end user will find it very useful. This will also prevent the end user from clicking away before the callback has been completed.

So check out the ASPxLoadingPanel Introduction video and then drop me a line here on how you plan to use this new control.

Well, this is PRETTY AWESOME!

Would it be possible to use it with xtrareports, in order to show a loading animated gif telling the user the report is under generation?

Hi Mehul,

I am not able to see ASPxLoading Panel control in my toolbox. I tried to add it via the choose items, but there is no reference to it. I am using DevExpress 8.2.3 libraries. Could you please assist me with this.

Thanks,
