There’s a new ASP.NET theme available called Aqua. And true to its name, the Aqua theme has a light blue base color scheme. Click the image to see a preview of the new theme.

Or better yet, get a ‘live preview’ of the new Aqua theme:

  1. Open one of the ASP.NET online demos
  2. Choose the Aqua theme from the ‘Select Appearance’ dropdown at the top of the page
  3. Decide this the best theme ever and you must use it right now!

Ok, that last part is optional, but to learn how to use DevExpress themes in your website, check out the 3 easy step customization blog post and these ‘Appearance Customization’ screen casts.

With the new version there are now 11 ASP.NET themes available:

  1. Default
  2. Aqua
  3. Glass
  4. Black Glass
  5. Office2003 Blue
  6. Office2003 Olive
  7. Office2003 Silver
  8. Plastic Blue
  9. Red Wine
  10. Soft Orange
  11. Youthful

I love to see real world examples of websites that use DevExpress ASP.NET controls. Post a link to your website (or screenshot link) in the comments below and show off your websites to other ASP.NET developers.

Not to start an argument Mr. Fuchs, but I read this blogs often and your comments are often negative.  Why can't you say something like, "This theme is really cool and I wish it were available in XAF!"

I bet you will still get what you want. :)

Hi Robert,

They are available to you in XAF (just not out of the box). I wrote a blog post on how to make control themes available in XAF, you can find it at community.devexpress.com/.../xaf-styling-asp-net-applications-2.aspx

Cheers,

Gary
