Prism and MVVM–Look Ma I’m On TV (Channel 9)!

07 April 2011

As some might have noticed (my wife in particular), I have been on an excellent little tour of the east and west coast visiting user groups, conferences, and other events of the like. One of the events that I had the chance to participate in was a DevReady event sponsored by DevExpress. In it Miguel Castro, Dani Diaz, and myself basically took people from level 0 in WPF and Silverlight to MVVM Jedi’s. My portion of the training was on how to use Prism in conjunction with MVVM and featured the talents of our fabulous Layout Control along with the always multi-talented CodeRush. Peter Laudati (good friend and Microsoft DE in the New York area) did not only a little write-up on the whole thing, but recorded the sessions and posted them up on Channel 9:

We did the workshops both in both Malvern, PA as well as New York City. We would love to expand! Let me know if you’d like us to bring this to your hometown!

As always, if there are any comments and/or questions, feel free to get a hold of me!

Hi,

it would be really useful to have a Devexpress Prism example app. We are struggling here with region adapters for Devex containers.

Regards,

Huseyn

Huseyn, between you and I, we are indeed making some demos. I also have asked for some region adapters for prism. Send me an email, maybe we can work the issues out together.

Hi!

I'm also looking at the possibility to use it with Prism so some good samples and region adapters would be very much appreciated and helpful.

Cheers,

Johan
